“A city is not gauged by its length and width, but by the broadness of its vision and the height of its dreams.” — Herb Caen
Photography Challenge: Mirror Your Subject
For this project I took a photograph of San Francisco’s Mission (foreground) and Financial districts (background) and inverted it on itself in order to take advantage of the hard edges of the skyline. I wanted to make this photograph into a metaphor for tough urban living by giving the buildings a toothsome character. The city is definitely glamorous and exciting, but it can eat you alive.
Excellent concept. Really gives the impression of being devoured by the city. The photography is fantastic to begin with, amazing view of SF!
Thank you so much for your kind words, FabShaaron!
