Photography Challenge: Victorian-Style Long Hair Portrait
This was a self-assignment that I did in tribute to all of those fascinating portraits of Victorian women who let their floor-length tresses down in the photography studios of yesteryear.
Victorians considered long hair to be the epitome of femininity, and some took this to a wonderful extreme.
My real hair is actually only about 24″ long, so I had to add some longer locks in Photoshop.
Thanks a million BloodOfSeitan! 🙂
Wow, you Photoshop’d your long hair so well. Looks so naturally real. Like Rapunzel…
Thank you so much, Rog! I wish my hair would grow this quickly in real life. 😉
OOWEE Lady Godiva; Look at them Long Locks!

I like!
By the way, I love the entire shot such beautiful creativity and an eye for detail! I love the hardwood floor; they look so amazing to me; maybe because I actually did work many moons ago installing them, as well did them over in my own house. Very interesting work you do here!
Bless you!
Thanks SO much for your very nice comments, Lawrence!
Just catching up Lucy! Well, I would have said more as I’m hardly ever at a loss for words thus the writing to curb that drive to speak. But I was in a big hurry when I had sent those comments, so in time I will have lots of good to say and hopefully something helpful mixed in too! LOL!
