This photograph of the architectural marvel that is the Hawthorne Bridge is the third in my series on Portland, Oregon’s many bridges. I plan to photograph each bridge in a different style.
I wanted to portray the Hawthorne Bridge in collage to emphasize it’s unique structure. The bridge is shown in it’s actual green color to the right (with a green overlay added to brighten it and make it look more illustrative) and I converted the other images here to rust and grey shades so the differentiation between photos would be clear, as well as for added visual interest.
