“There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life: music and cats.” ― Albert Schweitzer
This is the first in a series I’m working on where I’ll be back-lighting colored vinyl record albums to show off their gorgeous colors and make them glow.
For this shot I made a composite using 3 different LPs, which I masked out into a target pattern. I chose the primary colors red, yellow, and blue for the first (and primary) image in this series.
The records used for this shot were:
- Ennio Morricone’s ”Lizard In A Woman’s Skin” soundtrack (on transparent blue vinyl)
- Orion “Reborn” (on sunburst yellow vinyl)
- The Twin Peaks “Fire Walk with Me” soundtrack (on cherry pie red vinyl)
I created my own fictitious record label, King Music, in honor of the important role music plays in our lives.
Glorious! Another snap you wanna eat it’s so sumptuous!
Wonderful theme! Beautiful design and colors. Love the name and idea of your record label. R.I.P. Chuck Berry too…
