“I think you have to pay for love with bitter tears.” ― Edith Piaf
This is the second in a series I’m working on where I’m back-lighting and photographing colored vinyl record albums to show off their gorgeous colors and make them glow.
For this project I made a composite using four different LPs, three of which I masked out into a flower pattern.
The albums used for this composition were:
- The “Maniac” motion picture soundtrack (on clear vinyl)
- The “Chopping Mall” motion picture soundtrack (on fuchsia vinyl)
- Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats “Bloodlust” (on purple vinyl)
- Mark Ryden’s “The Gay Nineties” (on candy red vinyl)
The records are all shown in their actual colors.
I also designed a fictitious Love Song record label graphic.
